We are seeking an experienced and talented CAD Technician to help us in our mission by supporting our development engineers in designing engine subsystems and components.
You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us to:
Build the CAD physical model of the engine sub-systems
Mature the CAD models by adjusting the architecture, and accommodation based on system trades and components feedback
Define the volume allocations and clearance specifications towards the engine subsystems
Prepare CAD models and drawings for manufacturing
Key responsibilities:
Support and execute trade-offs for design choices in terms of overall architecture, equipment accommodation, interfaces and materials
Collaborate closely with thermal and structural analysts, manufacturing and quality engineers to ensure compliance of the mechanical architecture with the spacecraft´s overall architecture and the system constraints
Ensuring the configuration management of the CAD models
Managing the mass budget aided by the CAD model, and tracked in the overall system database
Develop guidelines to standardize design
Contributing to co-engineering sessions with the engine subsystems development team by sharing guidelines or orders of magnitude to converge on the feasibility of a solution, based on engineering feeling or a simplified analytical approach
Contributing to the improvement of CAD processes
Lead manufacturing-related exchanges internally and with suppliers
