As a SeniorCloudDevOps Engineer at Yokoy, you will work on maintaining and further developing the Yokoy software (SaaS) by building and testing new features, advancing the technology for scalability and ensuring reliability with a specific focus on security. Yokoy is based on the newest technology available on the market, which makes your work extremely exciting. The Engineer role is a crucial position for us as Yokoy is growing fast on a global scale, which requires a product that can keep up with the speed without compromising on quality.
🧑🏽💻 What you’ll do:
- With the understanding of the needs of stakeholders within an Agile DevOps framework, you build and set up new development tools and infrastructure with emphasis on security
- You work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes using industry standard tools for Containerised Environments.
- You test and examine infrastructure and code to ensure high levels of security & low levels of risk
- You ensure that systems are scaled correctly (right-sizing) and automated
- You proactively identify technical problems and develop software and infrastructure updates and ‘fixes’
- You work closely with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended within a secure and scalable framework
- You will be involved in project management decisions and plan out your own projects
- You will assist and mentor junior members within the team
⚒️ What you’ll need:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree (University/University of Applied Sciences) in an IT security or engineering discipline (Computer Science, IT Security, Cyber Security, Math or Physics) or equivalent experience.
- You have at least 4 years of infrastructure experience.
- You are experienced with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred; Azure/AWS additional is a plus).
- You are knowledgeable in programming or scripting languages and/or IaaS & CI/CD tooling.
- You enjoy working in a team and communicating with others.
- You are able to take ownership of risk evaluation, and you have a pragmatic approach to risk mitigation.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and an attention to detail (Application behaviour, Networking, Security, Identity and Access Management).
- You are aware of DevOps and Agile principles and methodologies of overcoming security weaknesses within these frameworks.
- Ideally, you have experience within Finance/Highly Regulated environments.
- You are fluent in English. German and other languages are a plus.
