OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a (Senior) Director – Global Controls, Processes & Finance Transformation* to co-lead the evolution of our finance organization into a compliant and scalable function. You will work on-site in Tübingen or Munich (Germany) or Houston/ Stafford (USA) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Germany and the US. You will lead efforts to ensure SOX compliance, optimize financial processes, and be part of the SAP S/4HANA implementation, all while working cross-functionally to contribute to our mission of delivering novel PRAME immunotherapies to patients with cancer.
YOUR MISSION
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
YOUR PROFILE
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, or CISA strongly preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience in finance transformation, internal audit, or controls.
Proven success leading SOX 404 programs and establishing compliant control environments in public companies.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations in life sciences, pharma, or similarly regulated industries.
Strong grasp of financial operations at both clinical and commercial stages in biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
Highly collaborative, with excellent communication and cross-functional impact skills.
Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment with a hands-on, build-it mindset.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams. Fluent in English, German is a plus.
Willingness to travel regularly to the USA.
Preferred additional experience
Experience with commercial launches, revenue enablement, or scaling operations in a biotech startup.
Knowledge of FDA/ GxP compliance and commercial distribution models.
Background in Big 4 or top-tier consulting, especially with life sciences clients.
