We have a new opportunity for a Pre-Sales Engineer, with a background in the Defense and US Public sector, to join our motivated and ambitious team. The role will based out of our Washington DC office, with flexibility to work from home; there may also be a potential for up to 50% business travel.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the VP of Federal, you will have a wide range of responsibilities with significant personal growth opportunities. You will play a critical role in driving our sales efforts by providing technical expertise and support to our sales team and customers.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for Federal customers and prospects including both DoD and US Public Sector agencies, technology, and channel partners.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ goals and outcomes to address their operational and security requirements.
- Develop healthy and trusted relationships with strategic Defense and US Public Sector Partners.
- Provide proposal support (RFPs) to Programs and the bid process, as well as standardized deliverables and documentation.
- Represent ARQIT through business solutions and Thought Leadership at events, panels, and webinars.
- Drive field enablement through the creation of collateral (demos, videos, training, etc). Collaborate with a variety of internal functional areas to ensure solutions are implemented and supported in-line with customer expectations.
- Provide input on product development or enhancements to existing products to product management function.
- Provide Proof of Concept service to customers and prospects while aligning to Federal missions.
- Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta solutions.
- Willing to travel within the US for customer facing activities, as well as marketing, and partner initiatives.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the federal/defence sector.
- BS degree or combination of: education and pre-sales experience in security, cloud and network infrastructure/systems.
- At least five years’ experience working within a Federal Sales Engineering organization.
- Demonstrated success working with technical decision makers and executives.
- Knowledge of Federal certification and operating requirements such as DoD impact level (IL) environments, FedRAMP, and the CSP technologies and services from (AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP) including gov clouds like JWCC, EC2, etc.
- Broad technology experience including data protection, cloud architecture, networking, security, and IT transformation.
- Experience architecting/designing solutions built on-prem or in the cloud.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active security clearance preferred (but not essential).
Benefits
The Base Pay Range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. Compensation may also include results-based as well as long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. In addition, the role offers:
