Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our Credit Analysis team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating the financial information of SME clients, assessing credit risks, and preparing detailed reports to support the decision-making process for loan approvals. This role involves working closely with the sales team to collect client information and liaising with the risk management team to ensure compliance with our lending policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank Statement Analysis – Assess cash flow patterns, income stability, and transaction trends to evaluate financial health.
- Financial Analysis – Review financial statements, key ratios, and debt obligations to determine repayment capacity.
- Risk Assessment – Identify and evaluate credit risks, recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Credit Scoring & Rating Interpretation – Analyse system-generated credit scores and ratings to derive insights and support credit decisions.
- Loan Underwriting – Assess loan applications, verify supporting documents, and determine credit approvals based on policy guidelines.
- Industry & Market Research – Analyse industry trends, economic conditions, and borrower sector-specific risks.
- Report Preparation – Draft credit memos and risk assessments for presentation to the credit and investment committees.
- Stakeholder Communication – Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance (for CDD/KYC), legal, and finance, to support the credit process.
