About the role - What’s your purpose?
Signal AI, the A.I.-powered platform for corporate reputation and risk intelligence, is hiring a Financial Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day functions of the finance team. In this pivotal role you will take ownership of the global management accounts preparation as well as UK statutory and tax reporting. You will be responsible for implementing strong financial control processes & ensuring operational efficiency.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities - What you will be doing:
You’ll work with the business to:
Manage the month end close timetable, working closely with the team to ensure the management accounts are prepared efficiently, accurately and in compliance with UK accounting standards.
Tax compliance - preparation of UK VAT returns, P11D and PSA reporting and assisting with annual R&D claims alongside the corporation tax returns.
Assistance on group audit and preparation of the financial statements.
Technical accounting under FRS102 - for significant or unusual events, researching and preparing accounting memos with associated accounting entries.
Ownership of the relationship with our external NetSuite consultants, planning and executing process and control improvements to ensure our efficient use of the software.
Assist with Group treasury management, forecasting receivables and payables, ensuring our currency requirements are met. This includes weekly and monthly cash flow statement preparation, tracking cash position & spend against forecast.
Review of commercial quotes for finance approval - liaising with the commercial and legal teams to ensure preferable terms
Ad-hoc financial reporting
Manage staff costs reporting across the Group, working closely with our FP&A team to identify variances to budget and accrue variable costs accurately.
Management of transfer pricing possess, calculating and raising regular intercompany invoices and maintaining/updating intra-Group policies and agreements
Who are we looking for?
Knowledge of UK accounting principles (FRS102) and process
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Google Sheets skills
Relevant experience in similar roles, particularly encompassing UK tax reporting
Experience with NetSuite preferred
Organisational and time-management skills
Someone who can think 2 steps ahead. Proactive approach and can ask the right questions. Follow through on tasks.

You have strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Flexible and willingness to learn new tasks
BSc degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Finalist level or qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) - study support is offered as part of the role
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (within the team and external)

Compensation Range: €35K - €40K
