In your role as Retail Media Manager (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the retail media portfolio of Flink. Your goal is to support the team by leveraging this new revenue stream, strengthen the relationships with brands and agencies to give them the opportunity to advertise their products on Flink channels and beyond.
Job Description
Product & Business Strategy
- Support the development and refinement of our retail media product portfolio, including on-site sponsored products, display advertising and off-site extension programs.
- Analyze the market, synthesize client feedback and build compelling business cases to champion the development of new revenue-generating ad products.
- Work with internal marketing, product and data teams to help define requirements and bring new advertising solutions to life.
B2B Partnerships & Commercialization
- Create and continuously refine our go-to-market toolkit, including impactful sales collateral and data-driven case studies tailored for sophisticated B2B buyers like media agencies.
- Act as the commercial and strategic lead for our most important B2B relationships. Directly engage with major media agencies and brand partners in pitches and strategic meetings, while also empowering our broader sales team with the tools and insights to win.
- Contribute to our audience strategy by identifying how to best leverage first- and third-party data for advanced targeting, helping to build a core competitive advantage.
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting the vendor management team in client meetings and providing insights on campaign strategy and best practices.
Performance Analytics & Intelligence
- Take charge of the reporting and analysis for the overall health and profitability of this core business unit, tracking key indicators like revenue mix, advertiser adoption and product sell-through.
- Move beyond reporting on what happened to explaining why it happened, delivering actionable recommendations to leadership that directly influence sales tactics and investment priorities.
- Uphold the accuracy and reliability of our performance measurement framework. You will be the point person for troubleshooting data discrepancies to ensure all commercial decisions are based on sound data (ROAS, CTR, etc.).
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, e-commerce or a related field.
- A solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem. Experience at a publisher, ad tech company or in media sales is a significant advantage.
- A business-oriented mindset with an ability to understand brand objectives and translate them into advertising solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product, Data).
- Comfortable working with data to analyze performance, identify trends, and make informed recommendations. Proficiency in GSHEET/Excel is required.
- A self-starter who is excited about the opportunity to build and shape a new business unit within a growing retail organization.
- Working proficiency (C1) in both English and German
