Fundraising Manager
Department: Fundraising
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: San Francisco
Compensation: $135,000 - $155,000 / year
Description
This is a unique opportunity to join our San Francisco office and support the world’s most exceptional Founders as they prepare to launch their companies to top-tier investors. As a Fundraising Manager, you will work with startups from our cohorts in London, Paris, Bangalore, and the U.S., guiding them as they relocate to San Francisco and establish their presence in the U.S. market.
Partnering with the other Fundraising Manager, you will each take full ownership of running a two-month Launch Program annually, equipping our portfolio companies with the tools, insights, and connections needed to successfully fundraise in the Bay Area. The program culminates in Demo Day, where Founders present their companies to an exclusive audience of VC and angel investors.
This is a high-impact, strategic role offering autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to shape the success of some of the world’s most promising early-stage companies.
What you'll do
-
Managing the Launch Program
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Founders relocating to San Francisco for Launch.
- Curate and maintain a comprehensive library of resources to support Founders throughout the program.
- Design and execute a structured schedule of events, workshops, and speaker sessions to immerse Founders in the Bay Area investor ecosystem and equip them with essential fundraising knowledge.
-
Supporting Founders
- Facilitate high-value introductions to top VCs and angel investors, helping Founders expand their networks and secure funding.
- Provide in-depth guidance on the fundraising process, covering investment terms, documentation, and best practices for leading investor discussions.
- Offer strategic positioning advice, ensuring Founders effectively present their companies to the right investors.
-
Establish an EF Community in SF
- Cultivate a thriving EF Alumni network in SF, creating a support system for incoming Founders and strengthening investor relationships.
- Organize community events, meetups, and networking opportunities to connect Alumni across cohorts.
- Act as a bridge between new Founders and the existing EF network, ensuring a seamless integration into the SF ecosystem.
Who you are
-
VC experience: Minimum of 3+ years as a founder, or an investor, with a strong understanding of the startup and fundraising landscape.
-
Master Connector: You excel at building relationships, expanding your network, and making meaningful introductions that create value.
-
Team player: Exceptional verbal and written skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
-
Strategic & Tactical Balance: You balance long-term vision with hands-on execution, seamlessly transitioning between strategy and action.
-
You take ownership of your work and growth: You thrive in a high-trust, low-touch environment, taking full ownership of your work and proactively solving challenges with well-thought-out solutions.
Who this role is not for
-
You want a structured 9-5pm job with high oversight and clear responsibilities - EF operates in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment that requires a proactive, adaptable, and hands-on mindset. You’ll need to thrive in ambiguity and be comfortable shaping your own role as we refine our offering to best serve our founders.
-
You want a slow ramp up before being given responsibility - We’ll equip you with what you need to get started but succeeding in this role will involve diving headfirst and being hungry for responsibility to make an impact fast.
-
You want to work remotely - This role requires a strong in-person presence, with the majority of your time spent in person at our SF office and occasional evening or weekend events. A significant part of the founder experience happens through face-to-face interactions, making in-office collaboration essential.
What we offer
