The Role in a nutshell:
This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns, maintaining accurate tax work papers, and applying your knowledge of tax depreciation and provisions. You will be expected to translate abstract ideas into practical features, workflows, and product solutions that add value to both clients and internal teams. Your ability to identify gaps, provide clarity, and foster greater engagement will be key to your success in this role.
How you will make a difference:
- Preparing, reviewing & filing tax returns using various tools.
- Experience in the partnership, Exempt Org, and/or corporate returns.
- Experience on 1099/3921 fillings.
- Review of returns prepared by tax seniors and/or external consultants
- Preparation & review of tax work papers
- Should be able to work independently and manage tight deadlines/ delivery targets.
- Work on tight deadlines during the returns filing season and see to it that the end product is delivered on time in order to avoid paying penalties for late filing.
- Ensuring assigned daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed within the mentioned deadlines with desired quality.
- Working with accounting teams to obtain required information.
- Supporting Tax seniors & peers wherever required.
What will make you stand out:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Hand experience in US Corporate Tax 1120, 5471, 5472, FBAR, and state returns
- Excellent accounting skills
- The ability to work with different taxation software and learn quickly new software
- Excellent knowledge of tax legislation.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant US Corporate Tax experience
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Handle confidential material on a regular basis and be responsible for protecting the confidentiality of such information.
- Strong strategic initiative and a process improvement mindset.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
