We’re looking for an experienced professional to take the lead in a Quality Assurance role within a pharmaceutical company based in Oxfordshire.
The focus of this role is ensuring full compliance with Good Distribution Practice and supporting operations carried out under a Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA). You’ll be involved in a range of QA activities, from managing the QMS to preparing for audits and inspections, and supporting wider quality improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities
Oversight of day-to-day QA activities related to Pharmacy activities
Managing the electronic Quality Management System, including deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and SOP updates
Leading internal audits, supporting external inspections, and maintaining audit readiness
Supporting and leading validation activities (process, systems)
Reviewing and maintaining quality documentation, including SOPs and risk assessments
Running root cause investigations, supporting risk assessments, and implementing CAPAs
Monitoring quality metrics and supporting data trending and reporting
Supporting and delivering training and promoting a strong quality culture within the team
Working cross-functionally with warehouse and pharmacy to maintain compliance and drive improvements
What we’re looking for
Strong background in QA within the pharmaceutical industry
Working knowledge of QA systems in a regulated environment
Practical experience with deviation management, CAPA, change control, and SOP lifecycle
Confident handling audits (internal and external), with good understanding of compliance standards
Hands-on experience with validation work
Comfortable mentoring others and promoting good QA practice across departments
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a methodical and organised approach
