Role Overview
Safeguard Global is on a mission to remove complexity for HR professionals through the perfect combination of local expertise, technological innovation, and best-in-class service in every corner of the globe.
We are seeking a creative, data-driven B2B Social Media Manager to create and implement our organic social media strategy. You will lead this effort and work closely with our PR team, SLT spokespeople, and brand ambassadors throughout the company.
Our preferred candidate is a creative marketing professional with a strong background in writing and other content formats, including video and audio, primarily for LinkedIn, YouTube and Reddit. The person in this role will develop meaningful content to attract prospects and delight customers across all channels and mediums using (but not limited to) our blogs, case studies, ebooks, customer testimonials, webinars, and media mentions.
The selected candidate will research and incorporate best practices from all channels into when, where, why, and what we post. They will also need to take into account how we crack GEO search: where, why, how we appear in it. They will include SEO keywords where appropriate in posts and content. Success in this role will be measured by audience and engagement growth across platforms, share of voice in key HR, traffic referrals to safeguardglobal.com, and increased visibility of executive spokespeople.
LinkedIn - Company
• Manage the company’s LinkedIn page. Research and incorporate the latest in updating it with the content people are searching for
• Create and schedule all posts with oversight from the brand and PR team
• Post content on behalf of the HR team (they will provide the post).
• Track and analyze the company’s performance to determine the best performing mix
• Track comments and mentions of Safeguard Global by any person or company and either respond appropriately or ask the brand and PR teams for guidance.
• Track competitors’ activity
• Manage the social media calendar and all requests for posts (Note: it may not be possible to honor everyone’s requests)
• Using Sprout Social to handle social media posting and tracking
• Potentially creating and managing a LI newsletter to aid in increasing followers and brand awareness
LinkedIn – Executive Spokespeople
• Handle the writing and posting of content (minimum 2/ month for each person) from our CEO (Bjorn), CPO (Katherine Loranger), and COO (Wanda Prewett). Must obtain approval from each person beforehand.
• Sync with PR on key themes for executives to talk about
• Create and schedule all posts with oversight from the brand and PR team.
• Track and analyze each person’s performance to determine the best performing mix.
Reddit
• Track the conversations on the topics (provided by brand, PR, operations, HR) that Safeguard Global could answer.
• Determine which Safeguard Global executive team member (CEO, CHRO, COO) is best placed to answer the topic.
• Draft all comments for the executive and gain approval before posting on their behalf
• Forward relevant topics to the brand, PR, and content teams so they can develop assets based on the questions asked – if appropriate.
• Track and analyze the questions that continually come up.
• Track competitors’ activity on Reddit
YouTube
• Manage the company’s YouTube page. Research and incorporate the latest in updating it with the content people are searching for.
• Create all videos with oversight from the brand and PR team.
• Post any content on behalf of the HR team or anyone else in the company (they will provide the post).
• Track and analyze the company’s performance to determine the best performing mix.
• Track competitors’ activity.
Company Brand Ambassador Program
• Create a program based on best practices that turns our key employees who want to post our content into brand ambassadors for us.
• Identify and onboard ambassadors across functions and regions
• On a rolling weekly or monthly basis, put together a social media program for how Guardians can repost our content or create their own posts using our assets.
• Create the guides or videos that will be sent to them
• Track post engagement, reach, and participation
•
Additional channels
• Tracking of changes to current and new/not-currently-used social media platforms, best practice implications, and potential new channels to consider
Additional Responsibilities
Company webinars
• Oversee project management of company webinars
• This includes setting up the invites; ensuring all participants can access their links and have their materials; attending the webinar to help with any troubleshooting; and sending the webinar recording immediately to the people who need it (design – to edit the video with bumpers and then emailing the digital team with the updated link for them to upload to the site)
Country pages
• Help the content team with backup research if/when it may be needed
Award entries
• Note: The company may not pursue this. The social media program and webinar program management are the primary focus of this role.
• If we do this and the candidate has time, the candidate will research potential awards the company may want to enter and fill out the entry form
Skills Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field
• Advanced degree preferred
• Available to join PR efforts (social media aspect) for dealing with a crisis situation should one occur
• Experience writing for a range of industries, including human resources professionals preferred
• 5+ years of related experience writing and editing B2B content and social media.
• A passion for writing and overall content development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Committed to tracking where Safeguard Global and its employees shows up on social media
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
