The Position

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Intern to join our Finance team in Berlin. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting core financial planning and analysis functions, including monthly management reporting, budgeting, and financial modeling. You'll see firsthand how finance shapes strategic decisions in a dynamic tech-driven business.
Your mission: You’ll play a key role in scaling our Finance operations by helping to optimize our monthly reporting processes, driving improvements in forecasting accuracy, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the company.
This internship will give you broad exposure to all of Hive’s markets, service offerings, and financial dynamics, providing a deep understanding of how each contributes to our overall business model.
Your Profile

- Analytical Thinker: You approach problems with structured reasoning, have a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy digging into data to find insights.
- Spreadsheet Savvy: You're confident working in Excel or Google Sheets and can efficiently organize, analyze, and visualize data (SQL skills are a plus).
- Startup Mindset: You're genuinely interested in finance and understand the dynamic nature of a startup environment, willing to occasionally handle manual tasks and step outside your comfort zone to support the team's success.
- Clear Communicator: You're proactive, and confident engaging with colleagues across different teams and workstreams to collaborate and share insights.
- Relevant Background: You're currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field that sharpens your quantitative thinking.
Fluent in English: You can communicate ideas effectively, both written and spoken, in a professional setting.
