We 💛 small business
We founded Holvi in 2011, in Helsinki. As self-employed people wading through oceans of paperwork, we noticed something funny going on – traditional banks were giving us the cold shoulder. Why not help ourselves? we asked. And so, with time and effort (and lots of coffee), we mastered small business finance – and Holvi was born.
Our vision is simple: Eliminate the distractions of financial admin and simplify work life because running a business is hard enough. Small businesses shouldn’t have to worry about spreadsheets and lost receipts.
Since our inception as a pioneering fintech, we've experienced our fair share of challenges and growth. We explored different paths, and from those experiences, we've evolved. Today, we stand as a team-owned and profitable company, proud of our journey. Read more about our story here (in Finnish).
Now, we’re looking for our first Head of QA to help shape the future of quality at Holvi. If you’re passionate about creating and implementing QA practices that empower development teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software, this role is for you.
Join us to grow our strong culture of quality
Quality at Holvi isn’t an after-thought – it is at the core of everything that we do. We rely on extensive automation to deploy several times daily, and want to keep doing that while keeping up the growth. We’re growing fast, and the time is right for a Head of Quality Assurance to take what works, scale it and push us to the next level.
You’ll be our first dedicated QA leader, partnering with engineering, product and design to set strategy, guide tooling and keep quality front-and-centre as our team and feature set expand.
A typical day could see you:
Shape and scale our QA practices and organization that ensure software quality across all stages of development
Do hands-on testing with a new feature, release or integration
Help development teams by providing guidance on test design, testing strategies, and automation
Lead the development of testing tools and infrastructure to support efficient and scalable QA practices
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure our CI/CD pipeline and tools support secure, high-quality software development
Analyze and report on quality metrics to ensure continuous improvement and transparency
This is for you if you:
Have 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role
Have a deep understanding of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or similar)
Are experienced in developing testing tools and pipelines that integrate into CI/CD workflows
Are passionate about mentoring and supporting development teams to adopt quality-driven practices
Have a strong knowledge of modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps, etc.)
Take a proactive and hands-on approach to solving challenges, especially in the early stages of building a QA function
It's a plus if you:
Have experience in fintech, payments or other regulated domains
Have worked in mergers, growth companies or been otherwise involved in scaling software development
Have supervisory experience
You'll get:
Employee stock options – Opportunity for equity in Holvi
Flexible working – Flexible working hours, a hybrid office policy and possibilities for remote working
Comprehensive occupational healthcare
Monthly benefit budget that can be used in multiple ways
Work nice balance – Weekly exercise hour, bi-weekly breakfasts, bi-annual team weeks and more
Learning opportunities – Weekly tech-focused Fridays and monthly professional learning days to improve your skills and knowledge
The chance to build a role for you and the future of quality at Holvi
Think you're a good fit?
We’d love to hear from you! Send us your application by 22.6.2025 – but don’t wait too long, as we’ll fill the role once we find the right person. If you want to learn more about the position or our recruitment process, reach out to Janne Vuorenmaa at janne.vuorenmaa@holvi.com.
