Head of Finance (f/m/d)

As nilo’s Head of Finance, you will report directly to our Co-Founder & CFO and will work closely with the core management team and our investors. This role combines full responsibility for the finance function with hands-on work.
🚀 Your responsibility:
- Finance Operations - you’re responsible for a well-oiled finance machine, this includes accounting (incl. monthly / annual closing), revenue recognition, close-to-cash process, supplier payments, etc.
- FP&A and Reporting - you own nilo’s financial plan, incl. short-/mid-/long- term planning, budgeting process, and investor reporting, making sure that the company makes solid, data-driven decisions
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management - you oversee cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital optimization
- Cross-functional Collaboration - you’ll work closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams to drive business performance
- Team Leadership - you’ll lead and mentor the finance team and work with external counsel to build out the finance function as the company scales
- (Legal & Compliance Support - coordinate corporate law matters, support sales with GDPR/GTC compliance, and manage ISO responsibilities ) - optional
👀You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in finance roles with increasing responsibility — ideally in fast-growing, dynamic companies, with leadership exposure
- A track record of working closely with executive teams and founders
- Strong analytical skills paired with a precise, detail-oriented working style — without ever losing sight of the bigger picture
- A high sense of responsibility and commitment to safeguarding the company’s financial health and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
- A solution-oriented mindset, pragmatic “can-do” attitude, and eagerness to keep learning
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluency in both English and German
