We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer (d/w/m) to join one of our core product teams at Candis, where you’ll take full ownership of all things frontend, from building features and improving components to shaping our frontend practices. You’ll work closely with Product, Design and Backend Engineers in a small, collaborative team and play a key role in making sure we ship high quality features to our users without delays.
Our Tech Stack: Typescript, React, Vite, Cypress, GraphQL, Node.
Why do we need this role?Spice Bandits is one of our core product teams, currently focused on some of the most important features for our existing customer base. We need someone to fully own the frontend in this team, collaborate closely with Designers and Product Managers and bring consistency, speed and quality to everything we ship.
This role isn’t just about getting tasks done, we’re looking for someone who actively contributes to how we do frontend at Candis. From day one, you’ll be an essential part of the team, helping us build new features, improve the structure of our codebase and push our shared frontend standards forward.
What makes this role exciting? You’ll be joining a small, cross-functional team where you can have a real impact on both the product and how we work. If you spot outdated libraries or code that needs refactoring, you’ll have the freedom to improve things right away.
You’ll also be part of our frontend chapter, a collaborative group of engineers constantly sharing ideas, patterns and improvements. If you’re someone who enjoys mentoring, proposing better ways of working, or just bringing energy to a team, you’ll fit right in.
What are the biggest challenges? This team is taking on two major initiatives: introducing a new AI-powered feature and rebuilding one of the most loved parts of Candis, our workflows. These are complex, high impact projects with a lot of moving pieces. You’ll own frontend in the team, so being able to work independently, communicate clearly and take ownership from start to finish will be key.
You’ll also make sure that frontend isn’t lagging behind or blocking releases. That means building maintainable, well-tested components while keeping a strong focus on delivery.
What would be achieved over 6 months? After 6 months, you would have already taken full ownership of the frontend in your team and be working across the entire product cycle. You will be delivering features reliably and on time whilst collaborating closely with team members. You’ll also be contributing actively to the frontend chapter, sharing knowledge, offering support to others and helping improve how we build frontend at Candis overall.
Don’t worry about formalities. We care about you and your motivation – not the font size of your CV. We know that perfect candidates don’t exist, so even if not all of this applies to you, we’d love to learn more about you!
Feel free to contact us via e-mail, give us a call, drop by the office, or send a pigeon our way. We’re looking forward to hearing from you! :)
