ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Junior Disbursement Analyst, you will serve our client’s needs by handling port and other vessel's costs, following Harbor Lab’s standards. You will also get the opportunity to work with one of the most important parties for a vessel’s operation, our registered Agents or any other third party vendor, aiming to provide the most smooth experience to the Principals through our AI-powered, high-tech platform.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Check and Review the PDA and FDA costs following Harbor Lab’s standards
- Negotiate with agents and/or port service providers, look for spot agreements or contracts on behalf of the client
- Review charter party, worldscale, bimco, etc. to identify and mark Charterer’s Account or rebillable items, if any in the proforma or final DA
- Effectively communicate with internal and external business stakeholders
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, Maritime Economics or related field. A MSc degree will be an asset
- Up to 2 years of experience in Disbursements Operations, Post-Fixture or Freight Voyage Analysis departments in a Shipping Company
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
- Be eager to contribute to scaling of a rapidly growing software business
- Be creative, outgoing, and enthusiastic with a “can-do” attitude
- Be ambitious to learn and develop within Harbor Lab

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently with an innovative approach
- Experience in Husbandry / Owners Matters will be considered an asset but is not required
- Familiarity with a ship management company's day-to-day operations will be a plus
- Fulfilled military obligations (where applicable)
